Meet the people and the animals of Painted Ridge
Josyanne and Camptown Verse hard at work
HI there, I am Josyanne Frazee, and Welcome to my little section of your tour through Painted Ridge.
I am not gonna tell how old I am, haha, however I have been involved with horses for a long time!! My parents always said that they tried every other hobby out there, and finally, when i was 11, they stuck me on a horse..and I stayed there!!!
I actually started out riding HuntSeat, and competing in AHSA shows in the Jr. Equitation divisions, and Jr. Hunter and Jr. Jumpers.  After competing at the Equitation Finals my final year as a Junior rider, i soon found myself in the amateur ranks..with my horse, and not knowing quite what to do.Well, at that time, I began to study at college full time,( was part time while finishing my Jr. riding career) and I needed to sell my horse. I competed him in the Regular Working Hunter divisions at AHSA shows until sold.

While he was quite talented over fences, he was just a bit plain over the 3'6" courses, but to have a horse to stay consistant over a 4' hunter course, that was a bit exceptional..and thus he excelled there..and there we did well and won some money too...before he finally got sold.
Anyway, after all that, off to school i went for 7 years, not sitting on a horse at all..leaving a barn full for my mom to tend to.  Well after school and all, I got the itch..I mean with the horses in the back yard and all..and I found myself with another horse, Bee G Maestro Jack, whom you may have already met here on our page.  Anyway, thus i was introduced to the AQHA show world. and HOW different it is from AHSA and the huntseat shows i was so acustom to.

Anyway, from showing Gator in AQHA for a few years, i found my way to Paint horses, APHA and Camptown Verse.   I now compete in several different classes, that I NEVER thought I would ever be doing!! and I love it!! Showing the Breed shows is such a great diversity. Horses are getting more specialized now adays, however there are still your all around horses out there..and those are the most fun I think.  I hope to be able to get back into the AQHA show ring again as well in the future, as long as the right horse comes along.

As you have probably noticed, we have had quite a great sucess in the show arena.  And I certainly hope that good fortune continues.  Painted Ridge Farm has been established since 1997, and wow what a time it has been.  In this time,  I have traveled many miles, and met many many wonderful people in many different states and earned many titles.
I would like to thank all the great people that have helped me thru my travels, and my showing.

Another very special thanks to Lori Eilers, of Denton, TX for your friendship that seems to have been a lifetime already, for your support, for selling me such an AWESOME horse..and for your pushing me to pursue my dream, and for being there to help watch that dream become a reality.
